INI-Novation was founded in 2004 as a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research in Darmstadt with the aim of offering the know-how developed in the institute's research network in the field of technology transfer and research exploitation.

On the basis of proven processes, INI-Novation GmbH developed individual concepts for identifying, evaluating and marketing technologies and, together with its national and international partners, developed tailor-made solutions for its customers. Customers include research, political, economic development and administrative institutions as well as scientists who want to be supported by specialists on the way to founding a spin-off.

With the method of "integrative research exploitation", INI-Novation enables the systematic identification and exploitation of marketable technologies from universities and research institutions. With this tried and tested process, the company's customers can bring research results to market in a relatively short time. In this way, INI-Novation GmbH not only creates economic benefits for research institutions and scientists, but also makes a lasting contribution to the technological performance and innovative strength of our society.
