VET4DATACOOPERATION is an Erasmus+ co-funded project coordinated by INI-Novation GmbH (Germany), bringing together partners from Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and North Macedonia. The project aims to strengthen the capabilities of manufacturing stakeholders to engage in trusted data sharing and data-driven collaboration, addressing one of the key challenges of digital transformation in Europe: how to share data securely, efficiently, and with clear business value.
The project focuses on developing a practical, industry-oriented training programme tailored to the needs of companies, VET providers, researchers, and innovation actors. Based on a comprehensive needs analysis, the training will cover key topics such as data governance, legal frameworks, secure technical architectures, business models, and the strategic value of data sharing, with particular attention to Gaia-X and data sovereignty principles.
In parallel, VET4DATACOOPERATION collects and analyses good practices from existing data-sharing ecosystems and real industrial use cases. These insights are compiled into a guidebook that supports organisations in understanding how data spaces function, how stakeholders interact, and how value can be created through data exchange.
Through pilot testing, dissemination activities, and multiplier events in all partner countries, the project promotes awareness, builds trust, and supports the adoption of data-sharing practices across the manufacturing sector. Ultimately, VET4DATACOOPERATION contributes to enhancing competitiveness, innovation, and resilience by enabling organisations to move from data awareness to practical implementation of trusted data cooperation.
